Children are like sponges. Dr Paul Thompson, a neurology professor at UCLA, and his team found that the brain systems specialised in learning new languages grow rapidly from around six years old until puberty. Then these systems basically shut down and stop growing from ages 11 to 15.
About our Club
Les Coccinelles was established in 2000 and is still growing. I personally select, give training and monitor teachers on a regular basis.
After moving from Grenoble in France to the UK in 1993, I started to work as a French teacher in numerous nurseries and primary schools in England. I developed my own teaching style and methodology, which is proving a real success.
Liliane.
Our teachers
Our team of teachers are dedicated and passionate about their work. They love sharing their language with young learners. They put a lot of effort in making sure that each child is happy and enjoying learning French.
"Thank you so much for letting me come to your lessons. I had so much fun! And it is clear that the children are really enjoying your lessons too. I was very surprised at how much some of the children know. Thank you for giving me ideas, which I can hopefully use!"

"Dear Liliane, I just had feedback from one of our Mums from last year to say that her son is a "shining star" in his French class at the Harrodian School. He knew all his colours! It is good to know that our input with the French lessons is being appreciated. We are pleased with our French teacher. She is very good with the children."
